Hannatou Abdou, a mother of 4, has been working as a community health worker in Danja, Niger since 2001. She is one of the first distributors of Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC), a treatment that helps prevent malaria in young children. Hannatou has made it a life mission to protect the children of her community.
