The NGO Rape Crisis also runs a 24 hour hotline in Western Cape, out of Khayelitsha, Athlone and Observatory. English, Afrikaans and Xosa languages are catered for out of the three centers, staffed by First Response Counsellors. Affording a woman the possibility of talking about the rape incident in her own language is considered key.
