The centre was inaugurated in 2010 and treats patients with complications in their treatment for MDRTB. In 2015 there were 23 treated cases by mid June. There were 52 cases treated in 2014. The centre was renovated by and is completely financed by The Global Fund. Treatment lasts for 19-24 months. The side effects can be so difficult some patients stop the treatment which results in death.
