Indonesia has made great progress in recent years in the fight against malaria. Half of Indonesia’s districts are malaria-free and the country is bent on achieving elimination. This progress has been made possible thanks to a series of malaria interventions, including fumigation, improvements in reporting and surveillance in sparsely populated and remote areas with high transmission, and the distribution of bed nets.
