Daniel Bossoro, 2 years old is treated for malaria in the paediatric unit at the general hospital of Toumodi, Ivory Coast on December 18, 2018. His mother, Olanimia Islamia is staying with him at the hospital as they live in a remote community. He was admitted at the Toumodi hospital in intensive care for severe malaria 2 days ago. On their way home, they will receive a mosquito net to make sure Daniel is protected against mosquitoes. Malaria remains the main cause of consultations at the hospital. 25-30 cases of malaria are recorded out of 40 consultations per day.
