Sex workers in Sonsonate, El Salvador, gather at a community center once a month to discuss issues such as HIV, alcohol and drug abuse, and how to prevent difficult situations with clients. With support from the Global Fund, centers like these have been set up throughout the country to reach and empower sex workers and other vulnerable groups in order to reduce social exclusion, discrimination, and to help stop the spread of HIV.
