Rubber plantation farmers in this region are regarded as high risk of malaria infection because they work outdoors, and often at night, when mosquitoes are most active.
By arming farmers with knowledge and preventative tools including mosquito repellent and nets, they can avoid falling ill with malaria. This in turn could lead to fewer “sick” days, increasing their financial well-being and that of their communities.
