Mosquito Nets to Provide Malaria Protection for all Families in Gambia
When Jankey Jobe and her 2-month-old baby Kaddy come to the local school to collect a mosquito net, a bar code on in the voucher she received before the beginning of the campaign is scanned, to register when and where her insecticide-treated net was given to her. This innovative technique allows the campaign implementers to collect data on the spot using portable devices such as ipad minis in order to track which families have received nets, daily distribution numbers and remaining stock. The NGO Catholic Relief Services is carrying out the campaign, in support of the country’s national strategy against malaria.
