PHOTO OF THE WEEK (2 JULY 2015) - Armed with a loudspeaker and plenty of humor, a community worker from the Swing organization takes the message of safe sex and HIV prevention to Bangkok’s Soi Cowboy strip during a street performance. About 1,000 women aged 18-25 work in the bars and clubs that line up Soi Cowboy. Many of the sex workers have migrated from rural areas, and have little knowledge of sexually transmitted diseases. With investments from the Global Fund partnership, community-based outreach programs like the one delivered by Swing are essential to reaching key populations such as sex workers.
