Haijar, a 2-year-old Syrian refugee, is held by her mother in their home in the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. Haijar contracted TB when she was 1-year old, but today she is a happy and healthy baby. Under a special initiative, the Global Fund is supporting the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis among Syrian refugees in the Zaatari and other refugee camps.
