PHOTO OF THE WEEK (9 JULY 2015) - Sihlelelwe Lombe is his parents’ fourth child, and for Gabsile and Anton, the fact that he was born HIV-negative while they are living with HIV was a source of joy and relief. Years earlier an elder daughter was born HIV-positive, in part because Gabsile didn’t know her own status at the time. When they learned that they would have another baby, Anton and Gabsile resolved to do everything they could to follow the preventative treatment (PMTCT) offered at Baylor Clinic, near Mbabane. Anton works as a day laborer and money is often scarce, so even transport to the clinic was a challenge, but today, Sihlelelwe’s health and HIV-negative status are the happy outcome.
