Ramatoulaye is a TB survivor who is now dedicating her time to finding and educating those who may be ill in her neighborhood in Dakar, Senegal. Every day, hundreds of volunteers, like Ramatoulaye, screen the hardest-hit communities to educate people on the symptoms of the disease and the need to adhere to treatment. The Global Fund supports Senegal’s commitment to expand health services deeper into its underserved communities – a crucial component in early case detection and treatment support for TB.
