PHOTO FROM THE FIELD (16 June 2016) - In Maputo, Mozambique, malaria campaign volunteers like Vernis join from local communities to read off names of community members from morning to night, so that families can collect the mosquito nets allocated to them. This is just one of 275 distribution points set up throughout the city and its surroundings, with about 2000 nets to be distributed at each site. Across Mozambique, 5.2 million nets were given out in 2014 as part of a campaign to protect all families at risk against mosquitoes that carry the malaria parasite.
